Samarium Doped Glass Plates
Samarium Doped Glass can block all UV light below 400nm, it also fluoresces in the visible range, causing a slight increase in pumping efficiency with some lasing mediums. And it blocks the 1064nm wavelength as well. The samarium doped glass plate is used as a filter between a flash lamp and Nd:YAG active element in a laser's pump chambers.
After all process is finished, the Sm doped glass plate can be hardened according to customer requirement.
