Samarium Doped Glass Filters
The samarium doped glass filter is used between a flash lamp and Nd:YAG active element in a laser's pump chambers, which can filter all UV light below 400nm. It also fluoresces in the visible range, causing a slight increase in pumping efficiency with some lasing mediums. And it blocks the 1064nm wavelength as well. Samarium doped glass materials used in solid-state lasers can effectively suppress the "DEPUMPING effect" of working materials produced by 1.06 μ m radiation of xenon lamps.
After all process is finished, the Sm doped glass plate can be hardened according to customer requirement.
